Monday, May 2, Antioch Middle School will be holding a special re-dedication ceremony for the school’s athletic fields and facilities. The program begins at 2:30p.m.
This celebration marks the one year anniversary of the May floods during which Antioch’s athletic facilities sustained major damages. The school lost most of the athletic equipment and the facilities flooded. The school has since received a grant and local support to complete many of the repairs needed.
At the ceremony, school staff will also recognize students who have contributed more than 2,000 volunteer hours to help renovate Antioch’s athletic facilities.
Also on hand to celebrate will be representatives from Governor Bill Haslam’s office, Senator Bob Corker’s office and Congressman Jim Cooper’s office.
