Hillsboro is the Coolest of the "Cool Schools"

On Friday, April 17th, WSMV-TV Channel 4 News anchor Aaron Soloman joined the entire Hillsboro Community as we celebrated "live" from Hillsboro just how "cool" our school is.

Look at our students and teachers showing what makes Hillsboro "cool."

Check out the special tribute to Dan Miller, former Channel 4 anchor and honorary Burro.

Hillsboro would like to thank our very generous supporters who donated items for the "Cool Schools" breakfast for parents, students and staff.

These wonderful folks include the following businesses:

Krispy Kreme

Kroger

Donut Den

Food Lion

Dunkin' Donuts

Hometown Catering of  Goodlettsville

Charpier’s Bakery

Thanks to all of the parents who dropped off students and food at 4am, stayed for the Cool School pep rally, and attended International Day, and the 1st Annual Tournament of Champions!!  Friday was a great success for Hillsboro and a much needed boost for all involved parties.  Such an excellent day would not have been possible without your help!

Our Student Council was named the first ever Hillsboro Champion of Champions.  They won what ended up being a very tight tricycle race.  Those tricycles were loaned to us by some kind person, but we do not know who.  Two students brought the tricycles to the concession stand where we were handing out t-shirts; they gave them to a parent and said they were for me, but I don't know who the students were because I never saw them, and I don't know who brought them, so if we have your tricycles, please email me, April Snodgrass, at april.snodgrass@mnps.org, and we will make arrangements to return them.

Also thank you to everyone who donated to the Circle Players, one of Dan Miller's favorite non-profits.  We raised $1015 in a very short amount of the time, and Aaron Solomon chose it as his coolest of the cool, which made me very proud of Hillsboro.  Community Service activities have always been important to Hillsboro, and it was great to show this to the greater Nashville community.

Once again, thanks to everyone for their help to make Friday such a great success. - April Snodgrassv
