Report Cards
Report cards for the third nine weeks will be sent home Monday, March 31.

PTSA and Athletic Booster Meetings
Hillsboro Athletic Boosters will meet Thursday, April 3, at 6:00 p.m. in the school library, followed by the Hillsboro PTSA meeting at 7:00 p.m.  Any interested parent is welcome to attend.

ACT Math Prep
ACT Math Review will be starting this Tuesday, April 1.  The sessions will be Apr 1, 3, 8 and 10 from 2:30 to 3:30 and will be taught by several members of the Hillsboro math department.  Students will sign up in guidance and the cost is $10.  Space is limited to the first 25 students only.

Attention Seniors
The Balfour representative will be coming to Hillsboro on Wednesday, April 9, to distribute caps, gowns, and invitations.  Students will receive a balance due envelope within the next week that will show what, if any, money is still owed for the invitations.  The senior fee of $75 will also be due on this date.  This fee covers cap, gown, tassel, and senior week activities.  If your student is on fee waiver, it only covers the cap and gown portion of this fee which is $25, so students on fee waiver will still need to pay $50 to be able to participate in senior week activities.

If you have any questions, please call Mrs. Forrest, at 298-8400, extension 2004.

A Word from Mr. Manuel
Dear Parents and Guardians:

As you know, attending school on a daily basis and being on time for class are critical to ensuring academic success.

Educationally yours,
Roderick Manuel, Principal

Hillsboro High School

Drama Department Needs Your Old Junk
The Hillsboro Players are currently in need of an old kerosene stove (does not need to actually work) and old tires (do not need to be usable) for their upcoming show.  If you have these items or any junk items pre-1960 that you would like to get rid of or let us borrow, we would really appreciate it.  Also remember, you can always donate old clothes, paint, tools, or other items to the theatre.  Contact Mrs. Snodgrass at april.snodgrass@mnps.org or 298-8400 x1210 to donate.

Remember Basketball at MBA Tomorrow Night!

Come out to watch this!  Tomorrow night, Wednesday, March 5, at 6pm, the Hillsboro Globetrotters (faculty) will play the MBA faculty in a basketball game in the MBA gym.  MBA will provide drinks and pizza to all students who attend the game.  Tickets will cost $3, with all proceeds going to scholarships for Saigon Children's Charity in the MBA and HHS joint community effort to help send poor Vietnamese students to school.  MBA has been a great partner to HHS this year for SCC fund raising.  Hillsboro teachers participating are Coach T, Coach Davis, Mr. Manuel, Mr. Brown, Coach Carter, Mr. Perkins, Coach Swihart, Dr. Baxter, and Coach Fite for sure, plus "Big George" from campus security.  For each $50.00 raised, a child in the rural areas of Vietnam gets a bicycle to ride to school (more than 5 miles), enough rice each month for his/her family for the school year, books, and uniforms.
