Congratulations to the Class of 2008 Valedictorian, Nancy Organ, and Salutatorian, Roger Diehl! Nancy was named Valedictorian because she earned the highest GPA in the class. Roger earned his designation as Salutatorian by having the second highest GPA. Both are excellent students and will represent the Class of 2008 very well.
Congratulations to Roger Diehl for being named a National Merit Scholarship Finalist. Roger was initially named as a semi-finalist based on his excellent PSAT scores from his junior year. In order to be named a finalist he had to submit additional test scores, complete a lengthy application, submit a written essay, and also obtain an endorsement from a faculty member of Hillsboro. In the coming weeks we hope to learn if he has been selected as a scholarship winner for this very prestigious national competition.
