Registration and Withdrawal
 

REGISTRATION

To register at Hillsboro High School, a parent or guardian must take the proper paperwork to the Guidance Office.

If your student is transferring from out of state or from a private school, you must bring:

Certificate of Immunization.

Birth Certificate.

Current Physical Exam.

Proof of Residence (such as a utility bill or lease agreement).

Social Security card.

A report card or transcript is not required, but it will help your child’s guidance counselor plan the best class schedule.

If your student is transferring from a Tennessee public school from outside the Metro School System, you must bring:

Proof of Residence (such as a utility bill or lease agreement).

Social Security card.

Certificate of Immunization, Physical, and Birth Certificate must be provided within 30 days.

A report card or transcript is not required, but it will help your child’s guidance counselor plan the best class schedule.

If your student is transferring from another Metro School, you must bring:

Proof of Residence, such as a utility bill or lease agreement).

Social Security Card

Notice of Transfer from Previous School.

Students enrolling with a special transfer must be on the “approved” list from the Board of Education.

A report card or transcript is not required, but it will help your child’s guidance counselor plan the best class schedule.

ZONING

To find out if your residence is in the Hillsboro zone, go to www.mnps.org, look under School Info, and select School Zone Information. You can then type in your street address and determine if you live in Hillsboro’s zone.

WITHDRAWALS

To withdraw from Hillsboro High School, a parent or guardian must come to the Guidance Office at least 1 day before the planned withdrawal. This allows time for teachers to turn in current grades for the student.

A parent must sign a withdrawal form in the Guidance Office. (Students under age 18 cannot withdraw themselves.) You will need to know the mailing address, phone number, and fax number for the next school. Students must also turn in all of their text books. Records cannot be forwarded to the next school until all books are returned.
