Decades of College Dreams
AVID is a class for students who need a little extra support in school getting ready to go to college. If you need a little help with your study skills and your organizational skills, this could be the class for you. 95 % of the students that are in AVID enroll in college. That’s impressive!
SELECTION PROCESS:
1. Get a brochure from Coach Thweatt (Room 110) and fill out the form inside and give it to your guidance counselor.
2. Counselors and teachers will review students’ record to see that he/she meets AVID criteria.
3. Students will be contacted for an interview with the AVID teacher.
4. Letters will be sent home at the end of the school year to let students know if they have been accepted into the program.
5. The AVID class will show on the students’ schedule when he/she goes to school in the fall.
