CHRISTMAS CARDS

Every year Hillsboro sells Christmas Cards to support Saigon Children’s Charity. All proceeds go directly to Hillsboro’s effort to raise money for scholarships for needy children in Vietnam. The cards are $5.00 per pack and each pack contains 6 different cards and 6 envelopes. The cards are designed by Saigon Charity scholarship students and are quite colorful.

The past two years Hillsboro has sponsored over 143 students for SCC. Each scholarship provides the child with a uniform, books and supplies for the entire school year. It also provides their family with 10 kilos or 22.5 pounds of rice each month. The children who receive the scholarships are from the poorest Vietnamese families, most making less than $400 US each year. 60% of the parents of these children never had the opportunity to attend school themselves. The best hope for these young students to escape their impoverished condition is through education. If you or your family would like to sponsor a child the cost of one scholarship is $75.00 for the year.
