 2008 - 2009 Hillsboro High School Football

Burros Move on to State Championship in Murfreesboro!!!

Kick-off is at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 6th@ MTSU in Murfressboro, TN(For more information about the playoffs visit the TSSAA official web site.

Hillsboro High School defeated Henry County last Friday in a classic, hard fought battle to earn the right to play this weekend in Murfreesboro for the Region 5-4A State Championship.  Henry County and Hillsboro staged an epic battle before an overflow crowd at John Koen Stadium in a game many had been expecting since the season began.  The Hillsboro defense took control of a high-powered Henry County offense and held them to a season-low point output.  That sets up another classic matchup as Hillsboro will play Maryville in the State Championship game this Saturday, at 3:30pm, on the campus of Middle Tennessee State University.

2008 will mark the fifth time that the Burros have advanced to the finals to participate in the State Championship Game. In 2003, the Burros came away with the State Championship trophy, and in 2001,2002, and 2006, made another appearance to be awarded the State Runner Up trophy.  Way to go Burros!  You make us Proud!

BURRO TAILGATE
The weather looks like it should be in the mid 50's for Saturday's game and great tailgate weather.  We will begin to tailgate at 12:30 PM - 2:30 PM. Paper goods will be provided. Please bring appetizers to share (in DISPOSABLE CONTAINERS), your own beverages, chairs, and blankets. The tailgate will take place at the rear of the Champion Drive parking lot. There is a grassy area that we have used in the past. Look for the green/gold balloons.  Clean-up will begin around 2:30 so that we may all get to the stadium to cheer the Burros when they take the field.  So grab your green and gold, chairs, food, and come out to support our Burros as they battle it out for the State Championship.

Tailgate Cleanup
After the tailgate we need volunteers who will help with clean-up duties.  We will begin at 2:30 PM.  If you can give us a hand please email Randy Noe at rcnoe@comcast.net
