PSAT Announcement

October 14th is this year’s date for the PSAT. Why is this test so important? For Juniors, The PSAT is the qualifying exam for the National Merit Scholarship Program. 9th and 10th graders can take this test, as well, for practice. Scores will not be counted until the Junior year.

Registration for the PSAT will be September 21-25 in the Counseling Office during lunch only. The cost is $15.00, and the fee is payable by cash, cashier’s check or money order. No personal checks please.

There are 50 fee waivers available for Juniors who qualify.



Registration information:

MNPS families who have moved into Hillsboro's attendance zone need to enroll their child and bring along a copy of their proof of residency such as a utility bill along with a copy of your most recent report card.

Students coming to Hillsboro on Open Enrollment must come to the school to select their courses for next year. Please bring your Open Enrollment approval letter along with a copy of your most recent report card.

Students who are new to Metro Schools must bring the following items:

Birth certificate

Immunization record

Proof of residency such as a utility bill

Social Security Card

Copy of transcript or most recent report card

Selecting courses:

If you come on one of the days that a counselor is on duty you'll be able to complete all paperwork as well select courses. If you come on another date, when only the registrar is in, you'll need to return the week of August 3rd to select courses.
